Just saw 4.2.3 was released. I'm curious to know what fixes are in 4.2.3. I'm currently running 4.2.3 SP1.

I don't have a specific changelog, but well over 100 bugfixes, a new security script, and a unified RPM are the big benefits.  The new RPM will cut the upgrade work in half going forward.

Speaking about the unified RPM, makes me wonder what effect will have on my Zenoss distributed setup. When I installed the collector, only the first RPM was needed since there were no zenpacks to install on it. Now if I upgrade the collector using the unified RPM, do you think it might still work ? Is the upgrading process going to skip the non existent core zenpacks or is it going to force install them ?

The first time you start zenoss after installing the RPM, it processes zenpack_actions.  Take a look at the community script (read the thing) to get an idea of how this behaves.
