I have the zenoss 3.2.1 virtual appliance.
The thing is that I can't add MIBs nor following this thread, nor following many other discussions in this forum. All they are based in an older version of esx mibs.
I need to add the newer ones. I checked them against many web pages (mib syntax, and this stuff) and all was fine.
I could add
VMWARE-ROOT-MIB.mib
with this log

The terminal command to import MIBs has an option to increase it's verbosity, have you tried this in a effort to get more detailed feedback on what goes wrong?

I have had to manually edit some MIB files in the past for Zenoss to digest them, I was able to pinpoint the part of the file that was problematic using the higher verbosity feedback from the terminal command.
