Hello,

really need help, a user of the platfform tha was manager also accidently deleted the default zenoss colector. The instalation is a 4.2 . I created again with localhost but is not working, not collectings nothing, everthing is stoped. Anyone know how to reconfigure? the render user is blank..

You would need to restore a backup, or reinstall most likely...

only?? :( i had the localhost again but it ask the "render user" supposily it's zenoss right? if a put might work again. But what is the default passowor of user zenoss created in the default instalation of 4.2 ? when i need to use the user zenoss i don't know the password just do "su zenoss" in root context.

Luis:

I think you're out of luck there, you can try whatever you like, but after speaking with our solutions department, it's time to restore from backups.

Ok i have backup but since the last backup i add more than 1 hundred devices :( and placed a different organazitation, i don't mind to lose the information of the events but theres any way to backup de devices that are now, and then restore the backup to fix the collector and then restore the actual devices?
