Greetings,

Recently I've been trying to use a custom value in the MinMax threshold. What I wanted to do is in the threshold setting in templates, put a variable and assign/change the variable values for different devices.

So I added a zProperty(myValue) for device, but for some reason I couldn't get the threshold working, zenoss seems to ignore my expressionsn in the threshold field, I tried the following format, but none of them worked.

1. here.myValue
2. ${here/myValue}
3. here.getZ('myValue')


I wonder if anyone has experience of using zPropertires in threshold?

Doing something like here.zFileSystemSizeOffset is the correct way of doing it.  This worked in previous versions of Zenoss so if you can confirm that this is no longer working properly in Zenoss 4 it would be considered a bug.  I've personally successfully made use of this: http://community.zenoss.org/docs/DOC-3233 http://community.zenoss.org/docs/DOC-3233 in previous versions of Zenoss but I've yet to attempt it in Zenoss 4.
