I saw that this happened on 2.4 a lot, but I am on 3.2.1 and haven't seen anyone else having this issue.  I migrated from a 3.2.1 zenoss-stack on cetnos 5 install to a 3.2.1 rpm on a new centos5 install.  I've attached a screenshot.   I have liberation-fonts installed, below is a list of every rpm with the word font in it.

rpm -qa | grep font
libfontenc-1.0.2-2.2.el5
bitstream-vera-fonts-1.10-7
fontconfig-2.4.1-7.el5
liberation-fonts-1.0-1.el5
fontconfig-2.4.1-7.el5
