--------------------------------------------------------------
Just noticed today that our Zenoss core 4.2.0 server doesn't come up when we try to log into webpage.

This is the VMWare image of Zenoss Core 4.2.0 and has been running fine for the last month.  Nothing was changed between it working and not working.

Error I get when I go to: http://cabzen:8080/ http://cabzen:8080/

Ok.  It turnes out my root partition was full.
/  100% used

How can I correct this on the VMWare image?

Thanks.

Add a second VMDK, and then shovel /opt/zenoss/perf and /opt/zenoss/var to the new volume, using a symlink at the existing paths to ensure everything continues to work.

Don't forget that the Zenoss 4 VM is intended for POC, not production. You should use it to see how Zenoss works, but long term you'll want to build an appropriately resourced system (Physical or Virtual) to your needs.
