I have configured zenoss emails alerts for performance and devices status (UP and Down). I need to configure such alerts that suppose my device is down for 5 hours so that i will receive DOWN ALERTS on every hour so i will keep update regarding devices status.


Right now i receive DOWN alerts when device goes down and get UP alert when events get clears (just two alerts for UP and DOWN).

Kindly guide that how i configure that if my device get down for 5 hour so i will get DOWN alert on every next hour.

There's a Repeat option in the Notification settings. Does that do what you want?

In the alert rule set up, set the repeat time to be 3600 seconds, this is 60x 60 = 1 hour. See screenshot. I'm using version 3.2.1 of Zenoss. As long as the machine is down, you will get an email alert every hour.
