Hello,

I currently have a 2.5.1 that is my production alert system.

I have been playing with 3.2.1, in hopes of migrating things over and then taking it live, but now I see the blog for v4.  Should I wait until that comes out?

I am going to guess that, like with v3, that there will be a wait period when zenpacks are upgraded to v4?

To get to v4, you'll have to go through v3 anyway. If you have cycles now, getting the v3 upgrade stablized will be good to do rather than 2 in a row... Going to v3 is a big deal, read the docs... Plus, yes, v4 will have a delay - beta only is announced, might be a while for the release... And there will be a while updating Zenpacks etc.

My personal feeling is to go to 3.1.  That is stable and has been around for well over 12 months.  I am still a touch nervous of 3.2.x.  You would need to go 2.5.2 -> 3.0.3 -> 3.1.  ZenPacks is what will give you pain - what do you have installed?

It depends on your scalability needs, feature needs, zenpack needs and experience with python. What's the size of your production environment? What do you plan to monitor and what zenpacks do you pla to use? What platform do you plan to use and what is your experience with python?
