Hi All,
Fairley new to zenoss and keep hitting issues, i have looked around every where for help but cannot find it so I am now posting here.
I am looking at bringing in Zenoss as our main monitoring system but one of the key drivers would be the support for VMware ESXi hosts. I have currently installed CENTos 5.8, vSphere 4.1 CLI and run the auto deploy script for zenoss 4.2 installation. This all went smoothly bar some pearl modules not being installed but now able to run check_esxtop command and show VMs with no issues.
I have now added three ESXi hosts to Zenoss but the only information that is being pulled in is the number of VMs under the components part. Once I then click on "Virtual Machines" the window to the right shows nothing and is just blank!
The only change i have made is to replace the check_esxtop command with this one http://community.zenoss.org/docs/DOC-12909 http://community.zenoss.org/docs/DOC-12909 as it was showing all processes as VMs. FYI when I had the standard check_esxtop file it would say i had over 100 VMs but still display nothing in the right window.
I have also noticed when i click on the "Guests" option it will display the VMs there but when I click on the VM is loads another instance of the Zenoss dashboard inside the window. This surely isnt correct?
I have been reading up over the extended monitoring guide and ensured I have done everything there but just cant seem to get this running right.
On another side note in the extended monitoring guide i noticed that they reference to using the following ZenPacks instead of esxtop;
ZenPacks.zenoss.ZenVMware
ZenPacks.zenoss.StorageBase
ZenPacks.zenoss.DynamicView

This looks like it will handle with clustered setups through vCentre and looks like a much better/polished product however i cannot find the download for ZenPacks.zenoss.ZenVMware anywhere. Would this be a better option?
