Hi Guys,


I'm trying to help a friend who is currently looking for an open source monitoring to tool integrate with several licensed tools. Having heard of Zenoss i suggested it to her but not sure on how to configure it to received alerts coming from Geneos ITRS / HPOV / BMC or HP OVO or if it is even possible. Can any one please help or give an idea? thanks very much

Just so I understand, your question is how each/any of those product can send events into Zenoss, as opposed to Zenoss integrating with them and pulling the events correct?

Assuming that is the case, the integration point you want is the JSON API. The *add_event* method of Products.Zuul.routers.zep.EventsRouter is the section you want http://community.zenoss.org/community/documentation/official_documentation/api http://community.zenoss.org/community/documentation/official_documentation/api

Download the 4.2 JSON API ZIP, and inside the ZIP there is a PDF you can use
