Hi everyone, I am new to Zenoss and have run into a couple of issues running the latest version of 4.2 SP1.

I have added SQL 2008R2 and SQL 2005 and cannot get any data on the graphs.  I try to manually run the tests but get the following.

enwinperf run -v 20 -d 'SPC01NYC.YBI.LOCAL' --testCounter '\SQLServer:Latches\Latch Waits/sec'
2012-11-14 15:39:48,866 INFO zen.zenwinperf: Connecting to localhost:8789
2012-11-14 15:39:48,875 INFO zen.zenwinperf: Connected to ZenHub
2012-11-14 15:40:03,581 INFO zen.CollectorCmdBase: Collected value for \SQLServer:Latches\Latch Waits/sec: 0.0
2012-11-14 15:40:03,582 INFO zen.collector.tasks: Collected value for \SQLServer:Latches\Latch Waits/sec: 0.0 (Devices/SPC01NYC.YBI.LOCAL/LatchesLatchWaits_LatchesLatchWaits)
2012-11-14 15:40:03,596 INFO zen.zenwinperf: 1 devices processed (1 datapoints)
2012-11-14 15:40:03,596 INFO zen.collector.scheduler: Tasks: 2 Successful_Runs: 1 Failed_Runs: 0 Missed_Runs: 0 Queued_Tasks: 0 Running_Tasks: 1
2012-11-14 15:40:03,616 INFO zen.zenwinperf: Daemon CollectorDaemon shutting down

I know its possible to do this with WMI, as i have another program currently accomplishing this.  But my question is where do i go to actually go in zenoss to see the WMI query being issued. I want to try to edit it to see if i can pull anything off the graphs.  Perhaps i can attempt to create a zenpack. ]:)

Unless the above issue is something else, but from looking at the forums i dont think i am the only one.

Side note, i believe zenoss can only monitor the ESX hosts, not the entire virtual center correct?

Thanks everyone B-)

I stand corrected i rebooted and am now polling both SQL 2008R2 and SQL 2005.  I believe extending the winperf timeout to 25 also helped. So it looks like out of box Zenoss 4.2.0 with SP1 does successfully monitor SQL2008R2!

:^0

So the only reference  i have is monitoring vcenter. Thanks!
