Rule of the house : You should provide us enough detail so we can be able to help you.

What is the version of Zenoss you are using ? What is the switch manufacturer and model ? Do missing graphs show NAN, a value of 0 or they are completely missing (screenshots) ? Anything special in the zenperfsnmp and/or other logs ? Can you still see SNMP information in device overview page (uptime, system name, OS etc.)?

Zenoss 4.2.3 with Zope 2.13.13 on a RedHatx64

I have the SNMP informations in the Overview, it's an Alcatel-Lucent. The uptime, systeme, ... are presents.

Some interfaces work, not on all switchs

Work there :

And not here :

In fact I have SNMP error with some of them in Report/Device Reports and error :

Snmperr = -27, no security name specified
But I have specified a security name in the Class of the switchs

From the command line of your Zenoss server, can you please try this command :

snmpwalk  -v 2c  -c +*your_community_name* *IP_of_device_not_working*+  system

and post here the results. You must use the real SNMP community name as it is configured in your switch and the IP address of one of the switches that gives you the SNMP error.

Are you able to spot any difference (device model, firmware version, interface type etc.) between the switches that are fine and those that report errors ? What is the version of SNMP you are using ?

On the switch which don't work in my example, some interfaces work.
I just noticed that the interfaces with name like : 1/X have histograms, and not interfaces with a name full of number (1149 in the example), can it be the reason ?

There are more than 200 switchs so I'm not sure but it should be the same model for all of them.
Maybe it correspond to virtual interfaces.
For others it seems that SNMP have troubles so it is not due to Zenoss.

I use Snmp v3, and the result of snmpwalk retunr me more than 20k lines so ...

Thank you for helping

You are right, interfaces that are not working might not be implementing the same OID MIB as the standard ethernet ones. Look at the details of one of these interfaces and check to see what is the interface type. Also can you check in the Zenoss event log if you have events with a severity level of debug (you will have to activate the display because by default they are hidden) ? In case you do, post here the details of such a message.
