Thanks to http://community.zenoss.org/people/mageru Justin Miller's awesome Zenoss desktop tray alert program, i was notified that Zenoss lost its local heart beat to everything.. winperf.. snmp.. all that jazz.  So i went to check on the daemons and i see this little guy stopped.

I try to start it and it says its not a valid daemon name.  I try to view the log same thing. 

I am sure a reboot is going to fix it, but this may be the second time this has happend.

.gitignore is nothing really to do with Zenoss.  It is a file used by the git source code control program that he probably used to build the package.  Ignore it.

Thanks Jane, is there anyway that couldve somehow been running in the background and interfied with Zenoss?  Just odd that, that would show up the same time as the local heartbeats started to fail.

It seems to be happening the more i browse through the program, but when this thing happens, it causes some havoc

Fixed the issue, under the user Zenoss>Home I had a clarrion zenpack folder (not sure why it downloaded or installed there).  I couldnt delete it as the zenoss user and had to do it as SU.  I am guessing , the Clarrion zenpack that was erroring out, never uninstalled correctly, and because of lack of rights somehow it was forever stuck in the process. 

Once i deleted it as SU and rebooted, all was well with the Zenoss world.
