I have this SNMP trap 1.3.6.1.4.1.9.9.187.1 recieved from a cisco device, that is being put into eventclass /unknown. The MIB for this trap is installed, but the trap does not map to this MIB.

How do I get Zenoss to map to this MIB. I have looked a bit at the eventclassmapping, but I am unable to make it work ?

Martin:

Have you double checked that the trap is listed on the Advanced -> MIBs page? Are other traps being translated properly? What version of ZenOSS? If it's v4, add configsipsize 0 to the zentrap.conf and restart zentrap.

Hi

Yes I have double checked that the trap is listed. Its listed in the Cisco folder. I know that other traps are being translated, but I am not sure that any of the traps related to the MIBs in the cisco folder are being translated properly. I am running Zenoss version 3.2.1.

I have read that it might could be neccesarry to restart Zenoss or at least Zentrap, in order to get it working. Anyone that has any experience if this is true, or is there anything I can check before restarting ?

I am still strugeling with this one, and still se cisco snmp traps comming in that are not being translated to the coresponding cisco MIB.

I have double checked that the cisco MIBs are in the Cisco folder, meaning that I can find the coresponding OID recieved in the trap, as a mib in the ciscoMIB folder in Zenoss.

I see however that I have no eventmapping for the trap that I am recieving..could this be my problem ? and do I then need to manually create eventmappings for all my /unknow traps ?

Thanks, I have now restarted both zenhub and zentrap, and is now waiting for a cisco trap to arrive
