Dear all
Recently we had an issue that we needed to monitor our Sendmail processes and Mailscanner processes, trouble is that Zenoss (see below) seems to take any change in current daeons as a fault ie " waiting for messages" will change. There are some threads to this in the forum but I have seen no solution to the issue.
I have tried various regex to exclude the message component but nothing I try seems to work, now it may be it is not possible to solve the problem this way, has anyone got a suggestion? or just an understanbding why zenoss works this way.
We are looking at other solutions like Nagios, but we do like Zenoss and would like to keep it. I am sure that this issue for a number of system processes, surely there must be a way to just monito the main daemon or exclude the message component?
