Hello,

I am using Zenoss 4.2 Core, i add few servers (Linux) and also got all the graphs services that runs under Linux, like Java, Apache etc, during test this is what i found when i stop the service running under Linux, i got alert about service is not running, (Good Because i stop it) when i start the service the event never send notification about clear. i also define triggers for events, and still it's not sending once i start service back ( Like Java) on my *nix machine when i do ps aux | grep java i am seeing it's up and running, but Zenoss never send me any clear message for those kind of events.

Can some one please help me with this type of issue?

Hey http://community.zenoss.org/people/nirav nirav
Make sure you configured zenoss to send clear notifications.

Events -> Triggers > notifications
Double click on your notification rule, It supposed to be email notification rule.
Make sure you marked the checkbox for "Send Clear"
In addition you can change the "Clear" message content In the content tab

Yes, it did send clear message, but one more issue came across, is when we acknowledge the alert it should stop sending alert, instaid of that it keep sending us alert after we acknowledge it.

Did you set the notification rule to sent notification only to un-acknowledged alarms?

I believe it based on the trigger.

You can do that by adding atrigger with the acknowledge rule (Add rules: status -> does not equal -> Acknowledged) and base the notification rule on that trigger.
