Hi all,
I'm curious how people go about adding users and setting them up to receive alerts without them getting a million of the existing alerts.  Do you have to go through and acknowledge every alert?  If I acknowledge the events, will it continue to alert me if a new instance of that event happens?  What are the best practices here?

Thanks for your help!

Lauren

Hi,

if you specify event state=new, then the event does not get notified in case it gets acknowledged.

as example:
Loading Image... Loading Image...

But don't forget... If the same acknowledged event gets cleared, then it all begins again, next event will be new, so it will be notified. That's the reason I use count>2, just to make sure it's not a momentary event.

Thanks for your help.  I was looking for a way to do it without acknowledging every event, though.  I ended up just turning off alerts for every one, clearing all events, and then adding the new person in and turning the alerts back on for everyone.  It's kind of a painful way to do it, but it worked out all right.
