Good day guys

I have received a new HP DL380P server of which i would like to use for Zenoss 4.2.3
I have installed CentOS 6.3 on the server and therafter started with the autodeploy script.
The script started the installation and after downloading Zenoss hanged at Importing Zenoss GPG key

Am i doing something wrong? I have not tested the manual install procedure.

I have now left my installation as is and it still hangs-

What should i check?

It seems none of the packages are being installed.
I used to check if the services are running and could not get Mysql or anything else

I wiped my server- Reloaded Centos 6.3.
Tried to re-run the install via the manual process and received a bad command error when trying to install Oracle Java

I actually hoped we can sort the auto install script issue out.

The error when trying to do the manual install:
I have run the command:
wget -O jre-6u31-linux-x64-rpm.bin \
http://javadl.sun.com/webapps/download/AutoDL?BundleID=59622 http://javadl.sun.com/webapps/download/AutoDL?BundleID=59622

It does resolve the DNS but then gives
HTTP request sent, awaiting response... 400 Bad Request
2013-03-13 16:01:53 ERROR 400: Bad Request

hi guys

I have now tried CentOS 6.4 and CentOS 5.9 Without any luck
The autoinstall script does not install and when tryin the manual process experience the same difficulties as per my previous post with screenshot.

What else can be checked?Am i missing a step?

It looks like you have a problem with the Internet access from the server. Is there a proxy or some kind of filtering device between your server and the Internet ? You were saying that from the browser on your PC the URL for downloading Java works fine, is your PC accessing internet through the same path (proxy, firewall etc)?

I can add that if i run the autoinstall script- It does actually not install Zenoss.
I can find the Zenoss install file under Root/zenoss* but apart from that- no install is done-

Hi

I just *cannot* get the Autoscript running.Not sure why my server does not allow it?

I did however start with the manual install and got it running. My server is alive and kicking.
I did however struggle a bit as the Mysql the manual procedure refer to is outdated. The procedure also does not indicate the nagios plugin requirement.

I found an install procedure at http://www.sysadminwiki.net/site/doku.php/monitoring/zenoss/installation_guide_for_zenoss_4.txt http://www.sysadminwiki.net/site/doku.php/monitoring/zenoss/installation_guide_for_zenoss_4.txt .Created by jmcneil which assisted in getting my server finalised.
