Hi there!

After solve some of my event problems I have the last question about it.

In one of my linux servers I have the mysql ip service (see the screenshot 1) with the monitoring set as true.
When I see the mysql ip service definition it seems that is correct (see the screenshot 2) and the status for this service in the server is "up"

If I stop the mysql service in the linux server I don't receive any event in the zenoss alarm console. The only thing I see is the mysql ip service is dissapear from server infraestructure tab.

Are there any way to receive a event when mysql service is stopped in the monitored server?

Does that port check fail if you manually check it? What do you get via telnet to  the port with the service up vs down? Any reason you're not checking by SNMP / OS Process for this?

I've tried to set the OS Process for this and it works properly! I've never used this feature but it's very powerful
