Is there an effective way to monitor logs files on Linux hosts? I want to monitor /var/log/mysqld.log, but I can't find enough details on how ZenOSS can do this.

Any suggestions?

Well, now that I'm back from winter break, I'll take a quick shot at this.

We'll need some more information as to what you want to monitor. I suggest either having the log files forwarded via syslog or some third party tool like OSSEC, or else you'll need to use SSH and write your own scripts to read them. Do you want to capture all the log entries?
