Hello All,

I'm expirience some issue within googlemaps api, I saw in a previous post of http://community.zenoss.org/people/MoreDakka MoreDakka( http://community.zenoss.org/message/45214#45214#45214 http://community.zenoss.org/message/45214#45214) and I have the same issue, even a discussion already exist and nobody can solve the issue, I decide to open a new one. The version of Zenoss Core is 3.2.1.

The map is working awesome, the only issue is about the labels of locations, in the default zoom, when I pass the mouse over a location a litle window with label and some description appears, after use the zoom tool and passed the mouse over a location again, nothing happens.

Anyone have an idea of where to start troubleshoot it.

If someone can help I'm really thanks.

I found this same issue and found a way through it.  You need to get a Googlemaps V2 API key.  I went to https://code.google.com/apis/console/ https://code.google.com/apis/console/ .  You need to create a "project" - I created one called Zenoss. You then need to use the left-hand API Access menu to generate a key.  Make sure you create a Browser key, not a server key.

Could you confirm if this works?  Having already been through the process, I am unable to reproduce the original steps but hopefully this is close enough to get you there.

I have the same zoom issue in 3.2.1 . This solution is indeed the correct way to get your map working on the dashobard, but the map still has issue of labels dissapearing when you zoom (which was the original problem). So from my expierence this solution does not solve the issue of being able to zoom in , or out, on the map while maintaining the ability to mouse over and see lables. Does anyone else still have this issue? Is there a fix or this yet?
