I'm trying to add a Cisco 871 router for monitoring (Zenoss version 4.2.0).

However, once I click the Add button, the device goes into the Background Jobs queue (the little notifier in the bottom right corner shows 0 Jobs and 1 Pending) and stays stuck there until I Abort/Delete the job.

I've let it stay there for hours and even days, yet it doesn't do anything with the device.

The router is responding to ping from the command line and I can also snmpwalk it fine. I configured its firewall to allow full access from the NMS just in case something is inaccessible.
INFO zen.Device: device name '192.168...' for ip '192.168...'
INFO zen.Device: 192.168...'s IP address has been set to 192.168....
INFO zen.Device: setting title to '192.168...'
Hope someone can help.

Thank you.

Try adding the device into Zenoss without modeling it. After the device has been added, try modeling it. If it still doesn't work, try removing zenoss.snmp.RouteMap modeler plugin from configuration properties and remodeling the device.

Thank you. Just tried adding it without modeling it, but there's still no change. Ran a few more tests and it seems it's not just a problem adding the router.

Adding any new device causes the same phenomenon. I've checked disk space and also tried restarting zenoss, but it doesn't help.

Existing devices are being monitored fine too. I'll check my configuration for anything suspicious.
