Using the current Zenoss core I am getting really high spikes, 1.5p, on the interface throughput graphs. Not using any special zenpacks and I tried adjusting the collection interval to 500 just to see if that would smooth it out. No joy. This is happening on any of the procurves I have that are J9079A. I get occasional spikes on other HPs but well within the gigabit interface performance. Anyway to get those so they report correctly?

There is no need for special zenpacks and also no need to modify anything. Usually Zenoss Core default component templates are working fine for any device that complies to snmp If-MIB.

Are you using 64bit counters ? Go to Components, chose an interface, display details and check interface type. It should be *ethernetCsmacd_64*
