Hi all,

I am new in this foum. We use zenoss now since 2 years, but not in a very special way. Last week we upgraded to 4.2.4 and now we want to use more features. Therefore we want to use the cProperty feature, which allows me, to manually store more information about an item. So we have a lot of Information of the items in our WIKI and also the passwords are stored in a company password store.
So we want to add the links to the additional information into cProperty fields. Therefore I have two questions:

1. Is it possible to display cProperties in the Overrview?

2. Can Web Links displayed as link in the properties, so the enduser can directly click on it? I just can created string fields, but links are disaplyed as text not as link.

Thanks

Stefan

See http://docs.zenosslabs.com/en/latest/ http://docs.zenosslabs.com/en/latest/

This tutorial on ZenPack creation covers extending device classes and adding properties, and then showing them.  You could also create a custom modeler that populates some of those custom properties automatically if that is possible in your setup.  The nice thing is you could wrap all these modifications in a ZenPack for ease of re-install/transfer.

The tutorial also covers displaying the information.

There is about 8 hours of video, it's quite in-depth.
